I am a mother to four wonderful children and a beautiful goldendoodle. I was born and raised in Mexico City where I graduated with a CPA degree. We moved to the Hinsdale area in 2006 and open my coffee shop in 2012 in downtown Hinsdale. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, relaxing after work and a delicious cup of coffee.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have 4 children, Alejandra, Marianna, Sofia and Sebastian and a beautiful dog, Sammy.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have a CPA degree and now I own and operate Cafe La Fortuna in Hinsdale. What I love the most is having the ability to be independent and run my own busniess while simultaneously being able to provide a comfortable and welcoming enviroment for the community.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have been in this community since 2006 and this year is the 10th anniversary for Cafe La Fortuna.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Everyone I have met are interesting people, theres always something to learn from everyone.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Probably taking a river cruise through Europe, visiting new places and relaxing while reading a book and enjoying the views.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I like crime tv shows, such as Chicago P.D., NCIS and the like!
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Never give up! It doesn’t matter where you are in life, keep doing what is best for you regardless of what anyone says.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I dont’ have a bucket list, simply enjoying every new experience and be grateful for my daily life.
Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
My go to genre is pop latin music, some of my favorite bands are Camila, Jesse & Joy and old school Ricky Martin.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I would love to have lunch with my childhood friends that live in Mexico at Vistro.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
My favorite thing is how supportive and welcoming everyone in this community is, it feels like one big family.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Hopefully pushing strollers and spoiling my grandchildren.

I speak three languages: English, Spanish, and Italian.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Tuscany.
