Lived in La Grange since 1997, I was born and Lived in Brooklyn, New York. I went to High School there, then law School in North Carolina Duke University, where I met my husband and in 1985 got married and moved to Chicago. We have 3 children, Joanna 34 years old she’s a family medicine physician, son 31 years old lives in Atlanta, Georgia, he is an aeronautical engineer. My youngest daughter Clair is 30 years old and married last year and she’s a nurse practitioner. My dad is a retired physician and 96 years old.I started out my career as an attorney in New York, and when I was moving here I did a lot of municipalities zoning and commercial litigation. Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

I love getting to see how our staffs (250 of them) committed what they’re doing, meet the healthcare needs and what they do every day for the people who’s experiencing domestic violence and sexual abuse. I am so proud of the work what they’re doing.I like to think strategically, alway thinking how to leave the organization better than when I entered. Always hiring quality stuff for a growing and sustainable environment.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Since 1996 we have loved to go to Santiago, and still our family go-to place. Mattone’s in La Grange Park.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
27 years

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Africa, actually we are planning to go this April.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Moonstruck , with Cher and Nicolas Cage in it.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Think about others!

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I would love to learn how to play Cello. Learn how to do Bread making.

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Motown music to listen and for dancing build me up buttercup

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love La grange because of the walkability

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Playing cello, spending time with my children and hopefully grandchildren.Traveling more, and spending more time with my husband.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I was a spelling B champion at my school.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Costa Rica, the most unusual place I have been is the top of Etna.

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Favorite month is August September late summer. My anniversary June 29th is the best single day on the calendar , as we are married for 38 years.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
People I am working with at Pillars Community Health, and all of my children.

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
Freshly baked bread! My home made Bolognese meat sauce.
